The Conviction

We didn't set out to make sunglasses.
We set out to make the last pair you'll ever need.

Atelier Vingt-Deux® was founded by my father with one refusal — to accept that exceptional eyewear had to mean a famous logo stamped on a plastic frame, or a compromise on every material that actually matters.

Every frame is aerospace-grade titanium. Every lens is Carl Zeiss. Every hinge is engineered to outlast everything else you own. There is nothing here that isn't meant to be there.

Founded in Antwerp. Built in Fukui. Worn wherever quality is understood.

— Rafi Goldberg, continuing the maison

01

Aerospace Titanium

Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V — the same alloy trusted in aircraft, surgical instruments, and space hardware. Approximately 20 grams on your face. Hypoallergenic by nature. Corrosion-proof for life. Built to outlast every trend, every season, every other frame you've ever owned.

02

Carl Zeiss Optics

Every Atelier Vingt-Deux® frame ships with genuine Carl Zeiss lenses — UV400 protection, blue light filtering, optical clarity that your ophthalmologist would select. This is not an upgrade option. It is the standard. Non-negotiable, built into the price.

03

Handmade in Fukui

Fukui Prefecture produces over 90% of Japan's eyewear — a craftsmanship tradition running since 1905. Each frame is shaped, fitted, and hand-finished by artisans who have spent lifetimes mastering this one discipline. The result is measurable in every micron.

The Craft

Fukui, Japan.
Since 1905.

The Fukui Prefecture has produced eyewear since 1905. Not as a factory output — as a discipline. The artisans who build Atelier Vingt-Deux® frames have spent careers understanding what titanium can do in the right hands.

Each frame passes through 22 distinct stages of manufacturing. Each hinge is hand-fitted. Each lens is ground to optical tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre.

The Atelier

Where titanium
becomes sculpture.

Sculptor Jean-Claude Fahri takes aerospace titanium — the same alloy that shapes aircraft — and transforms it into wearable fine art. The result is a collaboration series unlike anything in eyewear.

These are not sunglasses with ornamentation. They are objects of art that happen to protect your vision.
